Welcome to Style & Sequins!  I'm Amy, a twenty-something teacher currently in Raleigh, North Carolina.  I love all things fashion - but don't get to play dress up enough!  I'm so excited to give this blog thing a try, so hope you enjoy!  

Here are 9 things about me!

1. I am 100% addicted to coffee, black coffee at that.  I drink it every morning when I get up, and I feel like I’m not truly awake unless I have at least a cup.

2. I always over accessorize.  An outfit just doesn’t feel complete to me without a necklace, earrings, multiple bracelets, a watch, and rings.   

3.   I’ve wanted to be a teacher since I was 10 years old.  I used to make my brother and sister act like they were my students in our basement.  I would make them do math problems for me while I wrote fancy stuff on my mini chalkboard.  Sorry, guys!  :)

4.   I wear completely different clothes to school than what I would normally wear.  When I go to school, my biggest concern about what I wear is not getting dry erase marker and pen all over it.  It’s all about being comfortable and practical for my school attire!

5.   When I was growing up, I was 100% a tomboy.  Yes, I used to wear baseball caps out to recess when I was in elementary school.  I played any sport you could imagine, but eventually focused mainly on basketball and volleyball as I got older.  I started caring more about what I wore when I got to college.

6.   My family is number 1 to me.  They mean everything to me, end of story.

7.   I have an amazing boyfriend.  Seriously, sometimes I’m a little difficult to put up with, but he does it every single day. 

8.   I probably wouldn’t have started this blog if it weren’t for him.  I’ve always played around with the idea of it, but he was the one that pushed me to finally make it happen. 

9.   I’m a perfectionist and can sometimes be a little OCD.  And by a little, I mean a lot.  I'm a neat freak.
