Hello everyone!  Happy Friday!
How was your week?  April is always crunch time for teachers, so it was exhausting for me!  I just know the next 2 months are going to fly by though! This weekend I'm looking forward to my mom coming to visit!  We are going to do a little shopping and some bonding time!  Yay!

This was one of the outfits I wore while we were in Raleigh last week over my spring break.  I have to tell you, I am just in love with the city.  It didn't feel like a big city to me, but it had everything you could have ever wanted.  We stayed with a friend in the South Glenwood area which reminded me a lot of my favorite area in Columbus, the Short North.  Every night, we were able to walk to whatever restaurant we wanted to go to for dinner.  And if we didn't feel like walking, it was seriously like a $4.00 Uber ride to get anywhere we wanted.

We ate at a lot of really great places including Cowfish Sushi + Burger BarThe Pit, Busy Bee Cafe, and Sushi O just to name a few!  Hands down, my favorite restaurant we ate at while we were there was definitely 42nd Street Oyster Bar.  The oysters we had were delicious!  My boyfriend got me hooked on clam chowder a while ago, so I just had to try it here, too!  It was of course fantastic as well.  But, I have to tell you my favorite part of the meal was the dessert!  We had the peanut butter pie that was seriously the best dessert I've ever had.  I highly recommend this place if you are in the Raleigh are!

Another favorite place of mine was the Raleigh Beer Garden.  It has such a great setup. The whole place was 3 stories, and they had a garden/jungle theme throughout. On the first floor, they have more taps than what I've ever seen with all different kinds of Carolina beer.  On the second floor, they have just the same amount of taps, but with American beers.  The top floor is a rooftop bar with a great view!  We went there a few different nights because we loved it so much!

We also had the opportunity to go to Chapel Hill on Saturday!  This was great because UNC was playing their Final Four game that day!  It was crazy packed, so we didn't end up staying for the entire game.  But, we did get to see some of the campus, and it is gorgeous!  Seriously, I think everything in the south is gorgeous.  Not to mention the amazing weather!

Overall, we had such a great time and can't wait to go back! Fortunately, we will be going back sooner rather than later! ;) More details to come!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend! :)

xoxo,
