Happy Friday, everyone!
How has your week been?  It's been crazy hot here, and we've been getting a lot of rain.  So, I've been inside snuggled up on the couch the majority of my week! :)  I tried to work on some school stuff, but I'm still just not quite in the right mindset yet.  Hopefully, that will come soon!  I did start a new book!  It's The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.  Have any of you reddit  I've had it for awhile now and have heard so many great reviews!  I just needed to get started reading, now I can't stop!  I'm guessing I'll spent the majority of my weekend finishing it up!  It's good!

When we first moved to Raleigh in June, I knew I had to do something to get used to this heat.  It's normally hot in Ohio during the summer months too, but not this kind of hot.  I was totally not used to the southern heat and humidity!  I was used to wearing shorts and even jeans a lot during the evening nights in Ohio.  I don't think I would survive wearing jeans here in Raleigh - at least not on a daily basis.  I decided I needed to stock up on dresses - not that I needed a lot of convincing to buy something new. :)  When I saw this dress online, I fell in love right away!  The light blue color is so feminine, and the lace just adds right to it!  The best part was the price point - it's under $15!  I'm always nervous about dresses being long enough on me, and with this one, I was a little nervous about it being see through.  I decided to give it a try anyways, since it was so adorable!  It turned out to be a great fit!

Don't forget: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts next Thursday for cardholders!  If you don't have a card and want to sign up, click here! I have the debit card, which is super convenient because it links right to your checking.  Just choose whatever works for you! :)
Public Access for the sale starts on July 22nd and goes through August 7th.  Make sure to mark your calendars and start getting your list together! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :)

Happy Monday, friends!
Anyone else have quite the weekend hangover this Monday?  I just loved having Mitch home with me for the whole weekend.  We finally tried out our pool, and it was so fun!  It's definitely the place to be around here when it's hot out.  I have a feeling we will be spending a lot more time there in the future!  If there's one thing that I love, it's food trucks!  I love trying the different food and seeing the fun things that people come up with!  We went to a Food Truck Rodeo on Sunday, and I loved it!  Mitch opted for a burger, while I tried a pesto grilled cheese!  Both were delicious!  We ended it with basically what was the biggest ice cream sandwich ever!  It was yummy, too! :)

The tank I'm wearing in today's post is definitely a necessity in everyone's closet!  The temps here in Raleigh have been HOT, and I keep grabbing for items that are lightweight.  This tank is perfect!  It's super lightweight, and it comes in a ton of different colors!  And the best part?  It's only $34! I highly recommend it - especially if you're looking for outfits that work with the heat!

Sidenote: It was ridiculously hot outside when we took this pic.  Like, I felt like I was dying 5 minutes in - lol.  Hopefully, you can't tell! ;)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week! :)

RWB Off Shoulder Top + An Honest Product Review

OUTFIT DETAILS

Happy Wednesday, lovelies!
How is your week going?  I can happily say that things are starting to finally feel a little normal over here - thank goodness!  Mitch started work this week, so I have all day to get things done around the place.  I've been checking things off my list left and right, and if you're like me, the feeling you get from checking something off of a list is like no other! :)  That much be the OCD/perfectionist coming out in me.  Our bedroom is basically complete - we (Mitch) just need to hang a few things!  And by few things, I mean by nail polish and necklace holder. ;) Yesterday, we got our bar stools in and since I'm so handy (not) I put them together!  We now officially have somewhere else to sit besides our bed and office chair!  We were supposed to get our sofa yesterday, but the company messed up and now we are getting it tomorrow.  SO thankful to finally get that, so Mitch no longer has to lay on a blanket on our hardwood floors to watch TV! ;)  Good things are coming, friends!

I'm not even going to apologize for the overload of photos for today's outfit.  You guys, how great are these photos?!  I couldn't pick just a few.  MAJOR props to Mitchell for these!  I told him I feel like he took a photography class on his own without telling me.  So very thankful to have him supporting me. :)

Anyways, the off shoulder top trend is one that I plan on rocking for a while.  This one is different than the others I have because it has the bell sleeves and a cinched waist.  It's super adores, and I love all the details!  But, I'm going to be hones there you guys.  In all it's cuteness, it's pretty tight around my shoulders and a little uncomfortable.   If I raise my arms just a little bit, it hops right over my shoulders and up to my neck.  The band for the shoulders is stretchy, so I didn't want to get a size too big so it wouldn't fall down.  I opted for my normal size.  Maybe it's my gym routine or the fact that I have wide shoulders, I don't know.  I would still recommended this top, though, despite it's flaws.  It's cuteness still gets me, and it's under $35!  If you decide to try this top, let me know what you think!

Thanks for stopping by!  I sure do appreciate it! :)

Happy Friday, everyone!
Hey y'all!  I can't believe we've finally made it to today.  It's Friday and the last day of school!  It definitely feels like the year has flown by, but when I think about it being last August when we started, it puts it into perspective a little more!  I'm looking forward to getting some time to hang out with my coworkers before I leave and some of my bffs for my last weekend here in Columbus! And the weather is supposed to be pretty decent, which is another reason to celebrate! :)

If you haven't noticed yet, I am all about the embroidered tops lately.  I love the delicate, feminine look that they seem to give to any outfit.  It's also a great time to stock up on them, because a lot of retailers have a lot of different styles out because of the festival trend.  This one that I am wearing is under $25!  I love it because it's super lightweight and short, which is great for the warmer weather!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend! :)
