Hi, y'all!
I hope you had a great weekend!  Did you do anything fun?  We had a nice, relaxing weekend again, so I'm feeling refreshed and ready for this week!  I'm super excited this week because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access starts on Thursday for cardholders!  If you don't have a card and want to shop the sale early, see my post here for how to sign up!  Early Access is definitely the time to get all of those wanted items for fall!  The most coveted items go quickly, so Early Access is key if you want to get your hands on them!

I talked in one of my posts last week about how I find myself wearing more and more dresses here in Raleigh because it's so warm.  I will say that I am getting used to the heat - very slowly!  Until I get completely used to it, you can find me wearing light, flowy dresses like this one!  It's under $20 and exactly what I needed!  There are so many great dresses from this retailer, so make sure to browse around to see what style you like best!  I've ordered from this retailer multiple times, and I've never had any problems with anything I've ordered.  Shipping does take a bit longer, though.

I apologize that my flower drop earrings are out of stock.  But, I just love them so much, so I couldn't not wear them.  I linked up another similar color for you here!  You could totally recreate this outfit with any brown or gold sandal and any orange or gold earring.  I think a turquoise colored earring would look super cute with it as well!  It's really difficult to limit what I post to just what is in stock.  I want to make sure I get good use out of the items I purchase!  If an item that I'm wearing is ever out of stock, I always try to link up another similar item for you!  I hope this serves as some outfit inspiration for y'all!
Thanks for stopping by! Make it a great week! :)

Hey, y'all!
Oh man, where do I ever start?  Last week was such a crazy week!  I was MIA for a few days because it was completely necessary.  Last Wednesday, we made the long drive with our moving truck and trailer to our home in Raleigh.  We spent the rest of Wednesday and the majority of Thursday unloading the truck and unpacking boxes.  I was also able to swing by my new school and meet the principal and a bunch of teachers!  I'm so excited!  :) We spent quite a bit of time furniture shopping because we literally only have a bed and a computer chair right now to sit down on.  We found a couch that I am in love with!  Along with some bar stools and a TV stand.  I'm really excited to start getting some furniture in this place so it starts to feel like home!  We really haven't even had much of a chance to breathe since we've been here.  It's been such a whirlwind. We've been on the go nonstop.  I'm really hoping I can catch up on some things this week and start to feel a little more in control! :)

We were able to find a little bit of time to snap these pictures yesterday before it started raining on us!  I'm a big pastel lover, especially these earrings!  They were love at first sight.  I knew I had to find a good pastel top that I could style these with.  My exact top is no longer available online, but Forever21 has so many great pastel tops at a great price point.  I linked a few similar ones!   Also, these white jeans are perfectly distressed and under $40!  Definitely a closet staple!

Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hey y'all!
This is the happiest Monday that I've had all year! :)  We had our last school day with the kids last Friday, and we are in today for a workday.  Which means I am spending all day getting the rest of my classroom packed up!  I swear I probably have more stuff in my classroom than I do in my apartment.  I don't even feel like I have a lot of stuff, but when you start putting it all into boxes it adds up!  I also spent a lot of my weekend getting my apartment packed up.  My wonderful mother is coming here tomorrow to help me get it wrapped up!  Crossing my fingers that it all goes smoothly!

If you haven't noticed already, this Kate Spade purse is constantly on my arm in the spring/summer!  I am obsessed with the color!  I actually got it last year with some of our winnings from the Kentucky Derby! ;)  So it has a lot of good memories for me!  I linked one here and here that are really similar!  These jeans are probably one of the most flattering pair that I own.  For some reason, they are super slimming and make my legs look ridiculously long!  They're under $80!  These earrings are also one of my favorite parts of this outfit!  They are only $12.99 and super lightweight!  I literally wore them all day, and they didn't bother me once!

I just want to take a minute to talk about something that I'm currently struggling with: change.  For me, change is very exciting, but not something I typically do well with.  Like right now, I am super excited to move to Raleigh.  I love the city and am super excited about being in the south.  However, I have grown majorly attached to my Columbus town.  My job, my coworkers, my friends, even my apartment.  It's just been home for me for a few years now.  I am really sad to be leaving my friends.  We had a really great weekend together and will have another great one next weekend, but I am going to miss them like no other.  I am also super anxious about being further away from my family.  I am very close to them.  I talk to my mom every day.  Yes, I'm 27 years old, and still talk to my mother every day.  I love that right now if needed, I can drive home to see them in a few hours.  Now, it'll be a few hour plane ride to go home to see them.  It's honestly been really hard for me to deal with.  I was a blubbering mess at school on Friday saying goodbye to my kiddos, knowing that I'll probably never see them again.  Actually, I'm tearing up right now just thinking about it.  With all of that being said, I am genuinely excited about this change. I just have to keep remembering, that we need change to happen in our lives in order for us to grow.  Deep breaths...

Thanks for stopping by!  I sure do appreciate all the love and support! :)

HAPPY FRIDAYY!!!
Hello everyone!  We made it to Friday!  Can you tell I'm a little excited! ;)  It's been quite a week.  I played in a fundraiser basketball game Wednesday night for our school against the Harlem Wizards.  They pretty much put on a show the whole time like the Harlem Globetrotters do.  It was really fun!  I didn't air ball this year (embarrassing), but I did get called out and made fun of for missing a shot!  I had to dance and shake my "boom boom" until I made it - also embarrassing, but so funny! I was so exhausted the next day.  I used to play basketball all the time, but I am definitely not in full court basketball shape anymore.

I am all about the cold shoulder top trend lately.  There's so many cute styles out there, too!  This one has adorable cut outs and patterns and bell sleeves!  And here's the best news, it's under $30!  I can't wait to get so much wear out of this top this spring and summer!  Another one of my favorite parts of this outfit is the shoes!  I have had my eye on these lace-up sandals for awhile now.  And by awhile, I mean like months.  I decided to finally pull the trigger, and I'm so happy I did!  They're ridiculously comfortable, and this is coming from someone who tends to complain pretty frequently about my feet hurting in heels.  I was also able to find a dupe for these that are less than $30!  They come in a bunch of fun colors, too!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great weekend! :)

Hello everyone!
I hope you had a great weekend!  We had some amazing weather here the past few days.  It has felt like summer, and I just loved it!  I had such a good time back home this weekend.  Friday night I was able to catch up with a few of my friends, and Saturday night my friend looked absolutely gorgeous at her wedding!  Mixed in with a bunch of family time, it was a really great weekend!  I love to say that I was actually warm taking these pictures yesterday!  It was for reals hot out!  No complaints here, though!

I love mixing different statement pieces with neutrals.  These statement earrings are a recent purchase of mine, and I am all about them!  Typically when I buy statement earrings, I tend to get very colorful pieces.  I'm just more drawn to them.  I ventured a little bit away from my norm with these earrings, and I'm so glad I did!  it will be nice to have a neutral earring that I can pair with so many different things!  I am still in love with these fringe heels from last year.  I bought them towards the end of last year as a last minute splurge.  I didn't get enough wear out of them last year, so I just have to keep styling them!  Luckily, there are so many other fringe heels out right now that it shouldn't be difficult to find a pair you like!  I linked a bunch of my favorites down below in the "Shop the Post" widget!

Oh, and I just have to tell you about these sunnies that are dupes for the Karen Walker ones I've been eyeing basically forever. And the best part?  They're only $12!  Seriously, they look almost exactly the same, without the price tag!

Thanks for stopping by!  I sure do appreciate it! :)
