Happy Monday, everyone!
For me, this Monday is better than any other Monday this year.  Why you may ask?  It's my BIRTHDAY!  I never do anything crazy for my birthday or make it a big deal, so it's basically just another day from me.  Except that I do get a lot of texts and notifications from all of the wonderful people in my life wishing me a Happy Birthday!  There's nothing like social media to make you feel loved on your bday!  I think Mitch and I are going to go out to dinner tonight.  Still not sure where, but definitely somewhere with good desserts! :)  Totally a dessert before dinner kind of girl.  Any Raleigh people have recommendations?  Leave them below! :)

You guys - I seriously cannot believe how quickly things sold out during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  I can't remember it ever really being like this.  Yes, things do sell out, but they continually get restocked  We stopped in store yesterday, and there was hardly anything left!  Madness!  I think that just speaks to the great deals and items that are on the #Nsale this year.  I still keep checking everyday to see if items get restocked.  I'll make sure to let you know on Instagram (@styleandsequins) if anything good comes back in stock!

One of the items that I had on my list from the very beginning was a utility vest.  I was hoping there was a good one included in the sale, and there was!  This one is under $50.  It runs slightly big, so if it does come back in stock I would definitely suggest sizing down.  It sold out pretty quickly, but I have been keeping an eye on it!  It was restocked a few times yesterday in some different sizes, but they didn't last long.  Again, I'll let you know on IG if it comes back in stock!
I also snagged these peep toe heeled sandals and this stripe tee during the sale.  I am in love with the sandals!  They are a little taller than what I normally wear, but they are surprisingly comfortable!  They run true to size.  I also love to stock up on basics during this sale, because they can be worn year round!  This stripe tee runs a bit big.  I did end up sizing down, but it'll be great for layering this fall and winter!  I'm so sorry they are both currently unavailable in the colors I'm wearing.  I will keep you updated if they come back in stock!  Until then, I linked up some similar items that are still available below in the "Shop the Look" widget.  There are some great choices there, too!  I hope you can find something you love!

Thanks for stopping by! Make it a great week! :)

Happy Friday, friends!
So, I have a confession.  I really don't get as excited about Fridays during the summer as I do during the school year.  This is going to sound really bad - please don't throw rocks at me.  During the school year, everyone is so excited for Fridays because we get a few days off for the weekend like everyone else!  However, during the summers since I'm already off from school, it just feels like another day.  I know, I said it was going to sound really bad.  BUT, I am happy for YOU because you get a few days off! :)  Do you have any fun plans?  We really have no idea what we are doing, but I'm sure it will include some relaxing and probably some pool time!

The colors in today's post are probably one of my favorite color combos to wear, especially in the summer! You can never go wrong with pink, especially a bright pink color like this!  Turquoise is one of my favorite colors to use when I want to add a pop of color!  I probably have more turquoise statement accessories than anything else!  I just love it!  This necklace was a recent purchase of mine, and I was more than happy to add it to my collection!  I know I'll be wearing it a ton!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :)

Happy Friday, y'all!
If this wasn't the longest week ever, I'm not sure what is!  We officially have 5 days left of school.  It seriously feels like this year has flown by!  It broke my heart to tell my kiddos the other day that I would be moving to North Carolina after the year was over.  I almost had the tears flowing, and they definitely did. :(  They've been much better since then, though!  This weekend I'm headed to my boyfriend's place to go through things and get him all packed up, aka throw a bunch of his stuff out! ;)  The moving countdown is 19 days! :) :) :)

I'm not sure if your weather has been like ours lately, but if it has then you've been getting a ton of rain.  I thought the saying was "April showers bring May flowers?"  It seems to me all we've had this May is more rain (and chilly temps!)  A positive to getting rain is that I get to wear my favorite Hunter rain boots.  I have them in black and military red.  I love mixing this red pair with other colors, like this green jacket.  Mine is pretty old, but I love this one!

One of my goals for my blog this summer is to incorporate more beauty posts.  I recently started exploring more lipstick colors, and I just had to find the perfect red color!  This matte lipstick is great!  I love the bright red color, and it stays on pretty well.

Thanks for stopping by!  I sure do appreciate it! :)

Hello everyone!
Why is it that the best weekends always go by so quickly?  We had a nice, relaxing weekend, and I really did not want it to end!  How was yours?  The weather here was great!  But, it was crazy windy (which made for a really difficult time trying to take pictures).  Those shots to come later this week! :)

You can never go wrong with a good flannel.  I always like to dress them up a little with a statement necklace or some earrings.  I am in love with this necklace that I seem to wear all the time.  You can literally style it with everything because of the neutral color.  I was sad to see that my favorite booties of the season were finally out of stock, but I found another great Vince Camuto  look alike here!

Here's to a great week ahead!  Thanks for stopping by! :)
