HAPPY FRIDAYY!!! 

Hello everyone!  We made it to Friday!  Can you tell I'm a little excited! ;)  It's been quite a week.  I played in a fundraiser basketball game Wednesday night for our school against the Harlem Wizards.  They pretty much put on a show the whole time like the Harlem Globetrotters do.  It was really fun!  I didn't air ball this year (embarrassing), but I did get called out and made fun of for missing a shot!  I had to dance and shake my "boom boom" until I made it - also embarrassing, but so funny! I was so exhausted the next day.  I used to play basketball all the time, but I am definitely not in full court basketball shape anymore.    

I am all about the cold shoulder top trend lately.  There's so many cute styles out there, too!  This one has adorable cut outs and patterns and bell sleeves!  And here's the best news, it's under $30!  I can't wait to get so much wear out of this top this spring and summer!  Another one of my favorite parts of this outfit is the shoes!  I have had my eye on these lace-up sandals for awhile now.  And by awhile, I mean like months.  I decided to finally pull the trigger, and I'm so happy I did!  They're ridiculously comfortable, and this is coming from someone who tends to complain pretty frequently about my feet hurting in heels.  I was also able to find a dupe for these that are less than $30!  They come in a bunch of fun colors, too!

Hello, everyone!  

First off, thanks for stopping by!  I really do appreciate each and every one of you who stop over here day after day!  How has your week been so far?  Hopefully, wherever you are, the weather is feeling like spring!  It's definitely been feeling like it here in Ohio, especially with all of the rain showers.  I've had lots going on this week - all good stuff, though!  I can't wait to share some of it soon!  Can you believe next week is May?!  I seriously cannot believe that the school year is almost over.  

Okay, so tonight I'm probably going to embarrass myself in front of a gym full of people.  I got asked to represent our school in a basketball game against a team who does all kinds of fun tricks!  They're really funny, and the crowd loves it!  I played last year too and only had 1 air ball! Not bad for being rusty! :)  If you didn't know, I grew up playing basketball and played all through high school.  That doesn't really matter for tonight, though.  It's all for fun!  Here's to hoping I don't hurt myself or my ego! ;)

One of my good friends got married the other weekend, and I wore this to the wedding!  I love this color combo.  The yellow heels just make the blue pop!  The dress and necklace are from last year, but I hope this still serves as some outfit inspiration for you!

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend? I hope it was great!  We had a super busy and fun weekend!  Our anniversary is this coming Wednesday, and my boyfriend surprised me with all kinds of fun plans on Saturday!  He got us amazing seats for the Pacers Playoff game in Indy on Saturday.  That was amazing!  Such a cool atmosphere!  Then, we went to my favorite sushi place, Naked TChopstix.  Seriously, it's amazing!  They have a special roll called King Kong that no other place has - at least not that I've found - believe me, I've asked! :)  Then, we were able to meet up with some of my favorite people in Indy!  Such a great night!  Not to mention, the weather was amazing!  

Okay, first of all, please excuse the pale, white, winter legs.  They obviously haven't seen much sun yet this year. :-/
So, my bf is not a fan at all of the overalls.  But, he says that if I like them, then I should wear them.  And that's what I intend to do! :)  It was so hard for me to find overalls that fit, because I have such a long torso.  Seriously, I've tried on so many pairs that were uber uncomfortable in all the wrong places.  Then, I found these from Forever21 for under $30!  I decided to go up a size than what I probably needed for length purposes.  I still have to make the adjustable straps pretty long for them to fit, but they work for me!  It's great to dress them up with some cute sandals!

Happy Friday, friends! 

I hope your week was great!  Mine was exhausting (again), so I am so thankful for the weekend!  I  was able to make some time for a few happy hours this week - yes, I said a few.  No judgements. :)  Sometimes all you need after a rough day/few days is some time to relax and chit chat with your girls.  That was exactly what I needed this week!   It was just an added plus that the weather was pretty great, so we were able to sit outside on the patio!  Bring on that summer weather!  

I recently got this sweater ($40ish) on sale, and I love it!  It's not longer available online in this color, but they still have a black color available!  I love the high slit on both sides, and it's really comfortable!   I love that is seems to just flow whenever I walk.  I am also all about these yellow fringe heels that I recently got!  This fun color is perfect for spring and summer!  They are actually fairly comfortable, too!  I wore them to a wedding last weekend, and I don't have any complaints from my feet!  Plus, even if they did hurt a little, I would probably still wear them because I love them that much! :)  I was so tempted to get them in the red color, because it is so bright and vibrant in person!  I decided to go out of my comfort zone a little and go with the yellow - I'm so glad I did!

Hump day!  The weather here is gorgeous! Which is making it even harder for both the kids and teachers to stay focused in school! :)  I think we are down to about 23 days now, not that anyone is counting or anything! 

If you've been following me since the beginning, it's probably easy to tell that I am slightly obsessed with jewelry and accessories!  For me, an outfit is never complete unless I'm wearing earrings, a necklace, multiple bracelets, and multiple rings!  I also love wearing bright colors!  This time of year is perfect for that!  You can mix together colors that you wouldn't typically put together, and you just look extra stylish!  I put together some of my favorite accessories right now!  I love wearing statement earrings!  That seems to be one of my go-to pieces with every outfit!  I love the color of these drops, and these neutral ones go with anything!  I would love to splurge and get this hot pink clutch!  Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, but a girl can dream, right?! ;)

I hope you had a great weekend!  We had some amazing weather here the past few days.  It has felt like summer, and I just loved it!  I had such a good time back home this weekend.  Friday night I was able to catch up with a few of my friends, and Saturday night my friend looked absolutely gorgeous at her wedding!  Mixed in with a bunch of family time, it was a really great weekend!  I love to say that I was actually warm taking these pictures yesterday!  It was for reals hot out!  No complaints here, though!

I love mixing different statement pieces with neutrals.  These statement earrings are a recent purchase of mine, and I am all about them!  Typically when I buy statement earrings, I tend to get very colorful pieces.  I'm just more drawn to them.  I ventured a little bit away from my norm with these earrings, and I'm so glad I did!  it will be nice to have a neutral earring that I can pair with so many different things!  I am still in love with these fringe heels from last year.  I bought them towards the end of last year as a last minute splurge.  I didn't get enough wear out of them last year, so I just have to keep styling them!  Luckily, there are so many other fringe heels out right now that it shouldn't be difficult to find a pair you like!  I linked a bunch of my favorites down below in the "Shop the Post" widget!   

Oh, and I just have to tell you about these sunnies that are dupes for the Karen Walker ones I've been eyeing basically forever. And the best part?  They're only $12!  Seriously, they look almost exactly the same, without the price tag!
