Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale Favorites

Happy Friday, everyone!

Hello!  I hope your week has been great!  I am basically in summer mode...already!  I took 2 naps this week, and they were both ah-mazing!  I needed to enjoy the relaxing time while I can before we load everything up and make the long drive to North Carolina!  Okay, really, it isn't that long, but when you're toting a moving truck with a car on a trailer and another car following behind (that's me), I'm assuming it'll seem pretty long!  I'm just hoping and praying we make it and get everything unloaded without any problems!  Cross your fingers for us!

I'm really excited about this weekend you guys!  Tomorrow, I get to see my family for the last time before I move.  I'm sure there'll be some tears, but I have to convince my mom that it's not going to be the last time that she sees me!  I'll still be a drive or a plane ride away! :) I am extra excited for Sunday because we are heading to Indianapolis for the Indy 500!  This will be our 3rd year going, and it has always been such a blast!  Okay, that's a lie.  The first year we went was miserable because we stayed overnight in a tent, and I hardly got any sleep.  This girl needs her sleep!  But last year was great!  Make sure to follow along on Snapchat for what I'm sure will be some amusing snaps! Wednesday Wishlist

Hey everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

What a busy week it's been so far!  I was able to get my entire classroom packed up on Monday and most of my apartment on Tuesday!  Let's just say I woke up this morning a little bit sore from moving so many boxes!   I've come to the realization that I have way too much stuff!  My wonderful mother came to help me pack up my apartment yesterday, and it went so much more smoothly since she was there!  Just a few things left to wrap up this week! 

I haven't had a whole lot of time lately to online shop, but I was able to put together some of my favorites!  I especially love these wedge sandals!  They are super cute and will go with basically anything!  If you're looking for a good, neutral pair, I am in love with these!  I also love these casual tops that are at a great price point!  This one is on sale for just $20!  Just a short post today, so I can get back to packing! :)

Hey y'all!

This is the happiest Monday that I've had all year! :)  We had our last school day with the kids last Friday, and we are in today for a workday.  Which means I am spending all day getting the rest of my classroom packed up!  I swear I probably have more stuff in my classroom than I do in my apartment.  I don't even feel like I have a lot of stuff, but when you start putting it all into boxes it adds up!  I also spent a lot of my weekend getting my apartment packed up.  My wonderful mother is coming here tomorrow to help me get it wrapped up!  Crossing my fingers that it all goes smoothly!

If you haven't noticed already, this Kate Spade purse is constantly on my arm in the spring/summer!  I am obsessed with the color!  I actually got it last year with some of our winnings from the Kentucky Derby! ;)  So it has a lot of good memories for me!  I linked one here and here that are really similar!  These jeans are probably one of the most flattering pair that I own.  For some reason, they are super slimming and make my legs look ridiculously long!  They're under $80!  These earrings are also one of my favorite parts of this outfit!  They are only $12.99 and super lightweight!  I literally wore them all day, and they didn't bother me once! 

I just want to take a minute to talk about something that I'm currently struggling with: change.  For me, change is very exciting, but not something I typically do well with.  Like right now, I am super excited to move to Raleigh.  I love the city and am super excited about being in the south.  However, I have grown majorly attached to my Columbus town.  My job, my coworkers, my friends, even my apartment.  It's just been home for me for a few years now.  I am really sad to be leaving my friends.  We had a really great weekend together and will have another great one next weekend, but I am going to miss them like no other.  I am also super anxious about being further away from my family.  I am very close to them.  I talk to my mom every day.  Yes, I'm 27 years old, and still talk to my mother every day.  I love that right now if needed, I can drive home to see them in a few hours.  Now, it'll be a few hour plane ride to go home to see them.  It's honestly been really hard for me to deal with.  I was a blubbering mess at school on Friday saying goodbye to my kiddos, knowing that I'll probably never see them again.  Actually, I'm tearing up right now just thinking about it.  With all of that being said, I am genuinely excited about this change. I just have to keep remembering, that we need change to happen in our lives in order for us to grow.  Deep breaths...

Happy Friday, everyone!

Hey y'all!  I can't believe we've finally made it to today.  It's Friday and the last day of school!  It definitely feels like the year has flown by, but when I think about it being last August when we started, it puts it into perspective a little more!  I'm looking forward to getting some time to hang out with my coworkers before I leave and some of my bffs for my last weekend here in Columbus! And the weather is supposed to be pretty decent, which is another reason to celebrate! :)

If you haven't noticed yet, I am all about the embroidered tops lately.  I love the delicate, feminine look that they seem to give to any outfit.  It's also a great time to stock up on them, because a lot of retailers have a lot of different styles out because of the festival trend.  This one that I am wearing is under $25!  I love it because it's super lightweight and short, which is great for the warmer weather!

Happy Wednesday, friends!

How is your week going?  We are down to 2 more days of school!  I still can't believe how quickly this year went by!  Truthfully, I'm even more excited for next week because I get to start getting my apartment and classroom packed up!   Then, all the fun changes start!  Hopefully, the weather will warm up a bit, too!  :)

I have been all about these embroidered tops lately.  I just love the delicate details and the colors.  This red and white top stood out to me right away - I was immediately drawn to it in the store!  The best news is that it's under $25! The top itself is a little bit shorter than what I typically wear, but my go-to high waisted jeans were the perfect fit!  Sometimes I find that black is a hard color to wear when it gets warmer outside.  I think the best way to incorporate it into your outfit is to include other brighter colors with it as well!  Also, I want to make sure I talk about these amazing heels!  They are super cute and just as comfortable!   They're at a great price point just under $70!

Hello everyone!

Happy Monday, and happy last week of school!  The official countdown is at 5 days!  Well, with a teacher workday next Monday.  This last week is always so bittersweet!  Both the kids and the teachers are so excited for summer break, but it's always hard to say goodbye!  This year will be especially difficult since I won't be seeing any of my kiddos next year again since I'm moving. :(  Let's hope I can hold it together!  Did you have a good weekend?  Ours was super relaxing, mixed in with some packing!  We are starting to get things ready for the big move in a few weeks!  So exciting!
